Class 3 - What our priorities are and how we are doing

Strategies and plans, performance indicators, audits, inspections and reviews.

Parish Plan - Current and previous year as a minimum

Begun in December 2003, with Steering Group initially under chairmanship of Mr Mike Jones, then Mr Richard Robinson, in response to Countryside Agency’s aim of helping communities achieve outcomes for ‘inclusive communities’, ‘rural services’, ‘vibrant local economies’, ‘sustainable countryside’ and ‘opportunities for all’.

Steering Group first met in January 2004, and a grant of £1,687.50 was received from SEERA.  Over the following four years, information was obtained from the electors of the village on issues including road safety, social life/activities, affordable housing, caring community, planning for future development, and communication.  Information was collated in producing the Plan and also informed the Village Design Statement.  The VDS was presented to the Borough Council in May 2008, and adopted as a TVBC Planning Document in June 2010.  With adoption of the VDS, the Parish Plan is currently (2015) in abeyance.

Annual Report to Parish or Community Meeting - Current and previous year as minimum

Annual Parish Assembly held each spring (most recently 13th April 2016), open to the public and attended by our County and Borough Councillors and local Police representative, each of whom gives a brief report on activity for the year.  Minutes of the Annual Assemblies can be viewed on www.longstockvillage.com website and copies are held by the Clerk.
